3 mistakes of battery charging might damage your gadgets

The use of gadgets and devices has become the way of life. These devices need power that is supplied by the special batteries, called Lithium-ion. Right from your phone to a laptop or other everyday gadgets like watches, shavers,  etc. are powered by these batteries.

Unfortunately, all the user of these gadgets don’t always know the use of batteries and their care.  These days, the longevity of the gadgets depends upon the battery care.

Why the battery is chosen?
An advanced technology using lithium ions is the key component of the electro chemistry of the battery. This technology is used in a wide range start from the Smart phones to the alternating current induction devices on the road. The using of the batteries has  a lot of benefits that other technology can’t provide.  They charge quicker and have a greater durability.

During the charging, the atoms of the Lithium move towards the positively charged electrode by which electrons leave an electrical device.  The lithium ions combine with the electrons and get neutralized.  It is repeated at any time the battery undergoes the  charging, and also discharging.

As a part of caring of the Lithium-ion battery we should take care of some mistakes that we frequently  do.

First mistake: We shouldn’t expose battery to heat, which is the worst of all things for the battery life. If the battery gets warm, there is a faster reaction of the chemical inside the battery. It can lead to the damage of the gadgets. Never expose your piece of equipment to the higher temperatures exceeding  35° C. It can damage the capacity of the battery permanently.

Second mistake: It is not right to wait for 100% used up of the charge. According Apple, you can charge them when you feel that it is low in capacity. Feed your phone  whenever you think it necessary.

Third mistake: If it is assumed by you to exhaust the laptop’s battery completely, or keeping it charged in full, it is one of your greatest mistakes. It is better to keep the gadget in half charged. The fully discharged battery for a few days may render the incapability of holding charge anymore. Again, if you keeo the battery charged in full for the longer period, the battery sometimes loses capacity and leads to shorter life.

Above all,  the most important tip of the battery care is to keep it in a cool place free of moisture.  The hot environment might damage the battery permanently. If you intend to keep your device unused for more than 6 months, keep it charged up to 50% and do it every six months.
